You asked, we listened! Courses for adults now available!

What’s the best way to improve at something? Consistent practice!

We love getting feedback from our students and while many people love the flexibility of our drop-in class system, some have said that if they were committed to a course of some sort they would be more likely to practice consistently. So we’re here to help!

You can adapt our courses for adults to suit your schedule. We know it can be difficult to commit to a specific set of dates, so we’re letting you choose your own. Read on for details of how it all works.

Flexible courses for adults: FAQ

Which classes can I sign up for a course in?

Classes that you can currently sign up for a course in are:-

  • Handstands (Monday evenings 7-8.15pm)
  • Stretch Class (Monday evenings 8.15-9.30pm)
  • Aerial Conditioning (Thursday evenings 7-8pm)
  • Circus Skills (Sunday evenings 5-6.30pm)

Note that a course will only cover one class type (so, for example, a course of aerial conditioning). The purpose of these courses is to help you improve at a particular skill with consistent practice. If you prefer a mix and match approach then our drop-in class system works great for that!

How does it work?

Short courses – our short course passes will give you entry to four classes. You choose your start date, and then the whole course must be used within five weeks of the date of that first class. This means you can skip a week and still take full advantage of the deal – we know how life is!).

Long courses – our long course passes will give you entry to six classes. You choose your start date, and then the whole course must be used within eight weeks of the date of that first class (so you can skip a couple of weeks and still take full advantage of the deal – we know how life is!).

How much does it cost?

The short course packages are £35 to be used over a five week period. The long course packages are £50 to be used over an eight week period. The usual cost of each of these classes is £10 per drop-in class. So on top of helping you to stay on track with your training, you’re also saving yourself money… it’s a double win!

Can I buy a course for someone as a gift?

Of course! Just let us know when you’re purchasing the course that it’s a gift and we’ll send you a voucher. The recipient of your gift can then choose their own start date (subject to availability).

Where do I sign up?

Simply head to our courses for adults page and select the course you want to book.

Note that you will need to let us know which classes you’re planning on coming to before we can complete your booking (unless you are buying the course as a gift).

What’s the transfer/cancellation policy?

Our standard transfer policy (48 hours notice) will apply to classes you’ve signed up for as part of your course, but any transfers must still fall within your five or eight week course period. The point of these courses is to help motivate you to regularly go along to the class you’ve signed up for. We’re not helping that cause if we make exceptions!

As ever, feel free to contact us if you have any questions… we’re here to help!

Don’t forget we’re also taking bookings for our autumn term courses for kids & teens at the moment too! Head to our termly courses page for more details and to sign up!

Did you see us at Party in the Park in Woking this year?!

Our students went on an aerial adventure at Woking’s annual family fun fest! We were honoured to be invited to strut our stuff in the summer sunshine… Celebrate Woking were amazing hosts and we can’t thank them enough for the opportunity. We were so proud watching our wonderful aerialists-in-training!

This was our students’ first foray into al fresco aerials, and we think it’s fair to say it was a huge hit. We’ve had so many messages of thanks, and it was lovely to see them all getting comfortable with showing off their skills in a fun and friendly environment.

“It was great fun and nice that friends and family could see. I was nervous initially getting on the trapeze in front of people but I LOVED it :-)” – Emily

Carly, pictured above, has been coming to our classes for six months. She was a complete beginner to aerials when she started with us, and her goal was to climb the silks before her 40th birthday. She turned 40 last month, and we think it’s fair to say she’s totally smashed that goal! Doesn’t she look incredible up there?!

If you’d like the chance to show off some skills in the sunshine in the future then why not come along and try out a class with us? Our aerial and circus studio is in Woking Leisure Centre, and anyone is welcome to join in!

Join us for a class

We have regular drop-in classes and workshops, and we’ve just released details of our autumn term courses. Spaces are filled on a first-come-first-served basis, so get yourself booked in before it’s too late!

If aerial arts isn’t really your thing then we also offer ground-based circus skill classes. You can learn to juggle, hula hoop, or handstand with us. If you’re looking to improve your flexibility then we also have some fun stretch classes!

A bit about us…

Our founder, Zoe, was a junior British ice skating champion in her youth. She then went on to qualify as a solicitor. After two years working in London she left her legal career behind to travel the world as an ice skater and circus artist. She performed in shows across the globe and trained in circus schools in some pretty weird and wonderful places.

Now settling back into life in Surrey where she grew up, Zoe started CirqueScape as a way to share her love of performance arts with the local community. She hopes that others will get as much joy out of becoming involved in this fun way to get fit as she has.

About Zoe…

If you’re interested to know more about Zoe then please feel free to take a look at her personal website, www.zoebaldock.biz. Or you could sign up for a class and come on down to see what all the fuss is about… even if joining in circus skills isn’t your idea of fun. She has some great stories to tell about her travels around the world! Check out her resume to find out where she’s performed, and see if you can spot which band’s music video she made an appearance in!
